Eugenia (Jean) Conner-Washington is a native of New York and a Florida resident since 19869. Jean is a graduate of Florida A & M University, with a BS degree in elementary education. She retired in 2010, after 35 years of service as a state employee.
Prior to retiring, Jean's primary art medium was ceramics. After retiring, she "got bit by the quilting bug," rediscovering her sewing skills. Despite having a degenerative visual impairment, Jean has become an accomplished quilter. Her skills include designing art quilts and textile design.
Jean is a member of two quilting guilds: the Tampa Bay Surface Design Guild, and the Potters Guild of Florida Gulf Coast.
