Naomi Adams was born in Nassau, Bahamas, and was educated in the United States. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University. She spent a short time working as a commercial artist in Schenectady, New York, then returned to Florida in 1982. Art has been a part of her life since childhood. She is a poet and short story writer. She sculpts in clay, paints in acrylic, paints and beads on fabric. She is retired now and works full time in creative pursuits.
